Brash Shortstop Leo Durocher- “Nice Guys Finish Last”

Durocher was one of a kind. He is most noted in his playing days for speaking out and squashing a player rebellion because major league baseball was allowing Jackie Robinson, a Negro, to play.

Durocher was known for his card playing, gambling and playing the horses on his time away from the ball diamond. He would go on to become a manager league manager.
