First Hit in All Star Game History was by a Cardinals Player

It was 1933 and the game was in the second inning of the first ever All Star Game. Cardinals infielder Chick Hafey came to bat a rapped a single for the first hit of the game and first in ASG history.

Hafey retired with most consecutive at bats with a base hit (10), a .317 lifetime batting average, 164 home runs, 833 runs batted in and was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1971.
