Slim Sallee – 3rd in All-Time ERA

 

Harry Franklin “Slim” Sallee (February 3, 1885 – March 23, 1950)

Major league debut: April 16, 1908 for the St. Louis Cardinals

He played in nine seasons for the Cardinals and 14 years in his career. For the Cardinals he finished with a 106-107 record ad a .267 ERA. He threw 123 complete games with 652 strikeouts and 467 walks allowed.

In Cardinals franchise history, he is 3rd all-time in ERA, 7th in innings pitched, 8th in games started, 8th in wins and 7th in losses.

For his career, he compiled a 174–143 record in 476 appearances, with an 2.56 earned run average and 836 strikeouts.
