1960- Musial Asks for a Paycut

Stan Musial goes to the Cardinals organization on January 21st and asks them to cut his pay by $20,000 because he felt he had a subpar season in 1959. The team gave it to him. You read that right, Musial asks for a Paycut.

Cardinals First Game at Candlestick

The Cardinals play in the first game ever to be held at Candlestick Park in San Francisco on April 12. The Giants won 3-1.
